EVERY CLIMB HAS ITS MUSIC.
This is mine. And maybe… it’s yours too.
THE LONG WAY UP
A reminder that every ascent shapes you.
This song is for the days
you feel the weight of the climb
and the days you feel the pull of the summit.
It’s for the breath before the breakthrough.
For the moment you look back and say:
“I didn’t know I could make it this far.”
The long way up is where you find your strength
— not at the top,
but on the way there.

ABOUT ALLISON2020
I make music the way I experience life — through climbs, questions, learning, lineage, and little moments that end up meaning everything.
Music has always felt alive to me. Not something I control, but someone I collaborate with. She shows up when I need her, taps me on the shoulder when I’m avoiding something, and occasionally drops a full song into my lap when I’m just trying to enjoy my smoothie.
My roots run through jazz, Americana, and the music my father passed down. My voice leans into soul and softness. My songs tend to land somewhere between storytelling and prayer, with a gentle neon swing from the Southern Belle–meets–Valley Girl overlap I live in. I don’t try to fit any of it into a box — I just follow what feels true.
These songs are pieces of my journey, but they’re also meant to meet you wherever you are on yours.
Whether you’re climbing, pausing, spiraling, celebrating, questioning, or just trying to drink enough water today… I hope the music feels like company.
If you’re new here, welcome.
If you’ve been here a while, thank you for staying.
Either way — I’m glad we found each other.
